Links
Here are some links to some of the people and organisations who have helped us out so far. There are many other people who helped who don't have website, but that list is so long it's not funny.
Glasgow Media Access Centre
Without GMAC would West End Story have happened? Well, probably but it would have been even more of a nightmare. Big shout out to Wullie, David, Alice and Kirsty for your continuing support.
Where The Monkey Sleeps
Possibly the finest cafe in Glasgow. The website gives a flavour of the monkey sleepers' madcap antics. They kindly leant us their establishment as a location. Check out Vanilla Dave's joke of the week. Vanilla Dave designed the Simpatico logo.
Submit Response
Lots of stuff you really should know about. Jack Mottram of Submit Respose built this here website (and the one we used for casting and crewing purposes).
Digicult
Digital short film scheme run out of Glasgow by West End Story cast member Paul Welsh. That Sampaio fella produced a couple of things for them too.
Hammerhead TV Scotland
Hammerhead supplied us with their fine kit for the shoot at a reasonable price. Helpful, reliable and friendly, you couldn't wish for a finer facilities house. Brian McCormick we salute you.
Yes We Cook That
Always on time and always tasty. Caterers supreme for occasions big and small. Cheers Leonora.
Shooting People
Online forum for filmmakers with indispensable newsletters.
Product
Top Scottish arts & culture magazine. The next issue features a photo montage of the West End Story shoot. Thank-you Chris for your support and encouragement.
Suspect Culture
International touring theatre company based in Glasgow. Co-founder and creative director Graham Eatough has been a great help to and support of the West End Story cause. He also directed a great wee film called Lament for Digicult (see above).
Avril Paton
Painter of, amongst other things, pictures of people and places around the West End Of Glasgow. She kindly allowed on of her most famous pictures to be featured in the film. It hangs in both Johnny and JaneÕs houses. Thanks Avril.
